IMPORTANT INFO you need to know
Lots of changes have happened in the travel industry in 2020. Here is a list of thing you need to know before booking your next trip.
Island Jack's Travel/Custom Vacation Designer works only with approved, thoroughly vetted vendors who can deliver the travel experience you have requested. You may see lower prices online but you also don't know how financially sound or how reliable they are. There is a reason (and not usually in the customer's best interest) that they are "cheaper". Many of those type of businesses go out of business overnight and will take your vacation dollars with them. The most recent example is BookIt .... which went out of business the first week of the Covid-19 Quarantine. Island Jack's Travel/Custom Vacation Designer will remain in business due to conservative business practices. Your dream trip is our passion!
While we are referencing Island Jack's Travel/Custom Vacation Designer in the paragraphs below, you can be assured that every reputable travel agency has similar guidelines and disclaimers as listed here.
Island Jack's Travel/Custom Vacation Designer is not the source or supplier of the travel services requested and acts solely as an agent for the actual suppliers of such services. Because each traveler’s risk tolerance is different, Island Jack's Travel/Custom Vacation Designer is not in a position to advise whether you should travel to any particular place at any particular time. Please refer to objective third-party sources of travel information, such as that maintained by the U.S. Department of State (travel.state.gov) before making your decision to travel.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL: All travelers should enroll their international travel information with the US government STEP program - https://step.state.gov/ . DISCOUNTED FARES typically involve restrictions and that changing any aspect of my travel arrangements may result in the payment of additional money due to change fees, increase in cost, government tax changes or fluctuation in monetary exchange values.
ID REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires each traveler to carry approved government-issued identification in order to board a flight (Passport Books for international travel and approved state or federal issued ID for domestic travel. See https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification for a complete list of approved identification).
It is imperative that you book all travel in the names exactly as they appear on the approved ID you are using for this trip (passport book or Real ID driver's license mostly) . The name, date of birth and gender that appears on the identification card must exactly match the same such data that is listed on my airline ticket and in my booking records. Failure to strictly comply with these requirements may result in denied boarding or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing you to miss your flight.
If traveling internationally, you must have a valid passport book and, depending upon my destination and you may need to obtain one or more visas. Passport and visa information may be obtained by visiting the State Department's Web site at www.travel.state.gov. Non-U.S. passport holders should be sure to contact the embassies of their destination and transit countries to obtain entrance requirements. To obtain medical information, you may contact the Centers for Disease Control at 404.332.4559 or visit the CDC's Web site at www.cdc.gov .
PRICE INCREASES: Airline tickets, accommodations, tours or other products you purchase are subject to supplemental price increases that may be imposed after the date of purchase. This is rare, but can happen. Post-purchase price increases may be applied due to additional costs imposed by a supplier or government. If this occurs, you will be charged additional sums by Island Jack's Travel/Custom Vacation Designer to offset increased fees, fuel surcharges, taxes, fluctuations in foreign exchange markets or any combination thereof. You must consent to any post-purchase price increases and authorize Island Jack's Travel/Custom Vacation Designer to charge my credit card for such additional amounts.
